Brief description
REACT focuses on bringing solar electricity and information and communication technology in rural cummunities in Cameroon.
Vision, Objectives and Goals
Most of rural Cmeroon is still with out electricity. REACT is a partnership between Helps International (HINT), Cameroon and Invevneo, USA to bring solar electricity and information and communication technologies in especially rural areas in Cameroon.
How does ICT contribute to the organisational objectives
- Our ability to use computers and the internet has enable us tot be able to access a lot of resources online, including training opportunities, access to information on opportunites such at thte Stockholm Challenge, access to funding
- A significant amount of money has also been raised online thtrough our website.
- Many of the hundreds of our trainees have been exposed to several jobs through the trainee online group we created
Transferability
The REACT Centre at Idenau is already a replication of the Centre in Buea that currentlt serves the Buea community.
Any organisation with an interest in extending ICTs to the rural communitties can replicatet the project with technical support from our organisation.
