- Brief description
- EuroCV is a unique interactive online resource that empowers the job seeker to control the exposure of their professional profile in the European job market.
- Vision, Objectives and Goals
The main goal of EuroCV is to reduce some of the economic and social challenges related to the job search process existing in Europe by providing free curricula vitae service that provides users an efficient and effective method of managing and ultimately distributing their professional profile.
EuroCV started on 11/4/2005 and unofficialy was launched on the world-wide web on 1/10/2005. Since then more than 200 job-seekers have posted their curiculum vitae on the EuroCV website. EuroCV has not conducted any public relations or promotional campaigns. However one of our main goals in 2006 is to increase the number of users and raise awareness within the European community.
One of EuroCV’s key objectives is to develop a system to peer-edit the website’s online content into various languages, primarily English, French, German and Spanish. Another objective is to install tracking mechanisms so that EuroCV can report live statistical updates on the memebrship and their activities.
Based on the anticipated rate of growth, and the planned software updates, EuroCV will need to expand its technological capabilities and capacity in 2006. We plan to acquire an .eu web domain by March 2006.
At this point, www.EuroCv.eu will start to engage European employers (primarily small and medioum-sized companies) by inviting them to try the EuroCV software for free for a trial period. Securing employer participation is the ultimate goal of EuroCV as it is vital to the distribution of members‘ CVs.

All the target has been reached. In the 2006 the user subscription are more than 10.000 many institution uses EuroCv as cv repository. We have created many tools that helps all user to write a good CV.
EuroCv now is a "Web Service" too. All companies, institution,job agencies can connect their software directly to http://api.eurocv.eu and get all information about all public users.
Moreover the project has been translated into 18 languages with the collaboration of the Volunteers Translators.

- How does ICT contribute to the organisational objectives
- The main EuroCv channel of communication is Internet. We offer various kind of software like the clients software written in various languages like (php, asp, python, .net, java, actionscript, etc..). These clients helps all stakeholders to a simply connection with EuroCv databases. All clients connected at internet get all information directly from the EuroCv databases.
- Transferability
- The innovative editing capabilities of this model can be applied to any web publisher looking to create content beyond a single person’s expertise at a particular time. End-users can edit their content without having to update their audiences with new links, and any other stakeholder can contribute to the editing of the site’s interface by using the unique revision tools. Therefore the model can be used to create communication in any language and any cultural standard, regardless of the web master’s limitations. Furthermore the HR-XML technology helps to share the cv also by a Simple Standard XML.

EuroCV is a network of professionals around the global whose curriculum vitae are available 24/7 in the European format free-of-charge to anyone through the world wide web.
Through the EuroCV Web site: www.eurocv.it, job-seekers can post and update their curriculum vitae (in any language) along with a cover letter and photo, free of charge. EuroCV system allows certain information to be secured or shared publically. Any information stored on the EuroCV system will not expire automatically.
The EuroCV system provides the job-seeker the flexibility to update the information, in one central location, without modifying the public access code that he or she can distribute to any potential employers. Employers can easily access the EuroCV system through the same Web site and view or download the information free of charge.
