- Facts and Data exposed in a user-friendly format to provide free access to culture in just one click.
- Vision, Objectives and Goals
- The project wants to get bigger and reach a broader audience through the adecuate use of technology. This is not only an empty goal, but a process that actually began weeks ago with a complete redesign, following current industry standards. In order to reach our goals the content of the website will be further expanded providing more web 2.0 capabilities. Besides, the website will be translated into 3 other languages beginning with English and then continuing with French and Italian. In the future more languages will be added. Domains have already been purchased for this purpose: learningarea.com culturagenerale.com and culturegenerale.org.
- How does ICT contribute to the organisational objectives
- ICT main contribution to the CulturaGeneral.net project is providing a competitive advantage thanks to an innovative database system which provides the information the user is looking for in a fast and easy way. Dynamic tables that are fed according to visitor popularity, virtual language professors and online games are only some examples of the extensive use of ICT and new technologies throughout CulturaGeneral.net.

- We think that our approach is suitable to be used by other educational institutions, that could provide education in a more appealing way to their target group.
- Project summary
- The main purpose of the website is to provide knowledge to those who might lack a natural interest for arts science and other disciplines of the culture in an appealing and fun way. At the same time we try to provide useful information for those with a higher level of education. To accomplish this challenging task the information is organized in different degrees of complexity and provided a simple but interactive format. Online games and virtual avatars help closing the gap between knowledge and enjoyment.
