The entries in the Stockholm Challenge Award have now been sent to the jurors for their deliberations

"In this round of the Stockholm Challenge the bar has been set higher than ever and participants have responded magnificently" says Director Ulla Skidén.

By enabling entrants to add photos, graphs, charts and supporting material to their entries the jury's task has been made both a little easier in that they have a clearer picture of each entry, and a little harder because the quality of the entries has risen and demand more extensive review.

During the twelve months of project collections, the Stockholm Challenge had over 1400 entrants register and 700 entries were worked on during the recruiting period.

After all entries were checked for compliance with the rules and completeness, nearly 400 were sent to the jury for evaluation with Education as the most popular category, having 132 entries followed by Economic Development with 83.

In mid March the Jury will produce a group of Challenge Finalists who will be invited to participate in Challenge week in Stockholm from May 18 to 22. The events will conclude with the banquet and award ceremony held in the Blue Hall of the City of Stockholm where the winners of the 2008 awards will be announced.
